Big Expansions Coming to Orlando International Airport
In an effort to get the jump on projected passenger growth, leaders at MCO have approved $168 Million for the construction of a new people mover. The mile long system would connect the main terminal to a proposed train depot.
Orlando International currently acts as a passage point for over 35 Million travelers annually and those numbers are expected to grow substantially over the course of the next few years. Officials have stated that if these systems, along with a second planned passenger terminal are not put in place, the airport will become overwhelmed and the passenger experience could diminish.
