A Welcome Surprise in Our Backyard

With the opening of Metro’s Silver Line last weekend, Loudoun’s Transit System seems to be chugging right along (pun absolutely intended). Last Friday afternoon everyone here in the Covert Travelers offices decided to take a field trip to the county’s latest offering to quicker rail access, Loudoun Station. (Pictures from our undercover mission below) The 300 space lot may look a bit bland at first but the possibilities are limitless. With a commuter lot so close to the Dulles Corridor the coming years could prove very promising. The lot now has access to the new Wiehle-Reston East Station which will in turn provide a much faster commute for Loudoun residents who work in Washington.

Although Phase 2 of the Silver Line is still a few years away, Loudoun Station certainly

seems to be a move in the right direction.
